About Me & My Pet Care Experience
Hi, I’m Daphne Kula
I'm a lifelong animal lover, experienced caretaker, and proud local pet sitter based in beautiful La Jolla. I’m a mom of two teenagers and two beloved cats, Dasher and Rivers, who have been part of our family since they were just kittens.

I provide overnight care, dog walks and pet visits, most of which require full-time attention. Overnight care is fully customized to each pet’s needs and preferences — whether it’s energetic young pups under one year old or senior dogs with special needs like back issues or digestive sensitivities. I’m experienced with administering medications and handling complex behaviors, including managing dogs with aggression challenges within the same household by feeding and walking them separately to maintain peace and safety.

Beyond daycare and overnight care, my background includes raising and training a variety of breeds — from a Lhasa Apso in college, to a German Shepherd puppy in New York City, to two beagles, including a rescue mix. I’ve completed numerous obedience training courses and am well-read on dog and cat behavior, so I’m comfortable caring for all kinds of pets.

I’m also experienced with homes of all sizes, including those with complex security systems and detailed house rules. You can count on me to follow instructions carefully and respect your home and routines.

Latte tends to get a little too excited with visitors and has some “happy tinkle” moments, but Daphne handled it with total grace and zero fuss. Milo & Maverick
